The Institute of Leadership Education For African Democracy aim to engage Nigerian youth to become excellent thinkers and communicators of that cultivates the characteristics that turn good students into great writers possessing independent thought, depth of knowledge, clear reasoning and critical analysis.

Our Essay Competition invites students ages 13-17 to explore a wide range of challenging questions beyond the confines of the school curriculum prevalent in our communities through this prompt “If you had the chance to be your State Governor for a day, what steps will you take to tackle the menace of drugs and other substances abuse?”
